I’m mightily impressed with the food offering over at Eastlands, under the stewardship of Consultant executive chef John Benson-Smith. What has been done at Man City is quite extraordinary. The food there is absolutely fantastic, and that’s across the ground not just in the boxes.

Range Rover Event

This was an invitation only event called ‘Only By Appointment’ which was a launch of the new Range Rover for Land Rover Group. This involved us visiting a number of country houses up and down the UK including Hopetoun House in Scotland, Harewood House in Yorkshire and Tetbury Manor in Gloucester. Our role was to offer eight cookery demonstrations every day – with two days at each venue. Other activities on offer included tea tasting, handwriting analysis, clay pigeon shooting, off road driving experience, manicures, gun cleaning and valuations etc.

Hazlewood Castle

Hazlewood Castle with 23 bedrooms and suites, an award winning Cookery school, wedding venue, café and restaurant in 77 acres of woodland.

Huge conversion and build of this Grade 1 and 2 listed 1000 year old Castle and former monastery. This required the installation of a mains water supply, mains gas and electricity. This delicate renovation project necessitated the involvement of the Elizabethan Society, Georgian Society and English Heritage etc. This award winning Hotel and also highly decorated Restaurant turned over £20m during our involvement from pre-opening to moving on.

Jersey Boat House

This was a restaurant conversion from a former wooden Boathouse on the harbour side in St Aubin. We drove the investor’s vision of an award winning two storey 220 cover £9m Restaurant. We lead the process from initial design to layout, concept branding through to project management, opening, trading and the crucial operations onto an Island brand roll out. Recruitment of over 65 staff in what was Jersey’s first new build Restaurant in twelve years, which subsequently became the forerunner of the island’s new food culture. Here we embraced the unique challenges of importing onto island with short tides and small delivery windows, and the unique logistics.

Manchester City Football Club

Manchester City Football Club (City of Manchester Stadium) ETIHAD which moved from the old ground at Maine Road to the Commonwealth stadium and its detailed conversion.

Over a number of years there have been restaurant and hospitality and fast food builds and developments (and central production kitchen) of around sixty five areas, which we have designed, project managed and then operationally opened into trading. This also included the development of the external fast food offering in City Square with Marco Pierre White.

In 2014 the £200m new City Football Academy where there were three substantial catering areas, which we designed, procured and then project managed through to opening and then into operations. The logistics and ergonomics in Stadia are key to any success in this challenging environment serving around 4000 people on match days in Hospitality and 15000-19000 people in the fast food areas within small time windows. Our role is to protect and police the client, MCFC’s interest. We have also worked with the new Jamie Oliver and American Caterers since they were awarded the contract in 2013.
